Cover of Learning Through Doing

This manual for parents and caregivers of children who are visually impaired with additional disabilities is available as a free download through Blind People's Association.  The manual was developed with a team from India, with support from Perkins International (formerly known as Hilton/Perkins).  It includes dozens of ideas of simple, hands-on activities that are appropriate to the Asian context and village life, using locally-available materials.

I love this work! The illlustrations, the unit on Festivals, the structure of the guide, the discussion of functional academics--would like to see more of our programming in the US follow this format.  You are so productive, Charlotte Cushman--thanks for pulling this all together!
