
The World Blind Union (WBU) is an international organization representing people who are blind or visually impaired in 190 member countries. WBU brings together all the major national and international organizations of blind persons and those organizations providing services to the visually impaired to work on the issues affecting the quality of life for blind people.
Key priorities of WBU are equal access to society through technology and by implementing the UN CRPD (United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities), education and literacy by supporting the Right to Read Campaign, and employment through the Right to Work initiative.
